Kirk Edward Herbstreit (; born August xix, 1969)[1] is an American annotator for ESPN's College GameDay, a television program roofing college football game, a provider of color commentary on higher football games on ESPN and ABC, and on Thursday Nighttime NFL games on Prime Video. For his Television piece of work, Herbstreit has won 5 Sports Emmy Awards in diverse categories. He also appeared annually as a commentator in EA Sports' NCAA Football game until the series was put on hiatus following NCAA Football 14. From 1989 to 1993, Herbstreit was a quarterback for the Ohio Land football team. He played in several games his inferior season and was the starting quarterback throughout his senior flavor.
Playing career and subsequent activities in Ohio [edit]
Herbstreit graduated from Centerville High School in Centerville, Ohio, a suburb of Dayton. As a quarterback for the Elks, he was the Ohio Gatorade Thespian of the Year as a senior. He as well was a standout basketball and baseball player.
Herbstreit was the first player to commit to the Ohio State Buckeyes later the hiring of John Cooper as head omnibus in 1988. Herbstreit was a four-year alphabetic character winner as a quarterback at Ohio Land Academy from 1989 to 1993. Later waiting his plough as a Buckeye starter behind Greg Frey and Kent Graham, Herbstreit finally led the team equally a senior in 1992. He has lent his name to the Kirk Herbstreit National Outset Archetype in Columbus, Ohio, and Arlington, Texas.
